Physical needs- everyday needs for an elderly person is essential water, shelter, warmth, food, clothes and although an elder person is an adult, some of them are unable to provide this for themselves and so they need a care workers , family or friends into their houses for the extra help.
Safety and security- elderly people seem to more vulnerable they tend to be on their own and can sometimes would be targeted to robbers and be broken into therefore they may not be able to defend themselves. An elderly person may be very financially secure due to saving and pension, but an adult must feel safe a secure in order to reach self-actualisation and sometimes this doesn’t happen.
Social needs- most elderly people may find it hard to socialise because they may have a disability and find it hard to go out and socialise the way they would like to. Some elderly people may feel isolated because they have no companion an elderly person must be able to feel all these things in order to reach self-actualisation.
Self-esteem- an elderly person must always be able to feel a sense of belonging and a sense of achievement they may feel his by reminding them of their old job and what the journey they went through to get to their dream job. They must feel respected by others Self-actualisation- in order to reach self-actualisation the elder must be able to fulfil hobbies and have a bit of self-fulfilment.
Self-actualisation: In elderly feeling that you have made the top of the pyramid shows you that you have fulfilled maybe everything that you wanted and being providing you with love , shelter ,clothing , warmth and somewhere nice to live.
