What are the main physical developments in this life stage infancy?
The kind of physical development that infancy needs to interact with at all times, to sit and play with
them and help them something new everyday. The infant needs to be surrounded with toys so he/she
has a different activity to do when they see numerous amounts of toys all these different activities will
help the infant’s gross motor skills and fine motor skills.
(Gross motor skills)– Skills are those to help the infant control the bigger muscles of their body e.g.
using the muscles in their legs to crawl, stand and walk.
(Fine motor skills)- Skills that control the smaller muscles e.g. those muscles in their fingers to hold objects e.g. toys.
What are the main intellectual developments in this life stage infancy?
Intellect in a infants life is vital, keeping the infants brain working and active every day by playing games, talking and reading and
also building up their confidence to read and do activities like colouring on their own and not needing help and depending on their
parents/guardians all the time. Starting to teach your children young which means in the long rung they know that.
What are the main emotional developments in this life stage infancy?
Emotional needs during an infants upbringing is very important to them and mainly just wanting attention from their parents or whoever is looking after them. E.g. when a baby is crying you don’t know why because they cant communicate and tell you why they are crying, understanding a child emotional needs mean a lot to them e.g. if an infants parents are not together is being shifted from one parent to another or even if the parents meet new people the child wont know who they are just strangers in their home, looking out
for the child needs more so than your own.
What are the main social developments in this life stage infancy?
An infants life is full of fun and games , but the only way a infants can make friends is for the parents to interact them when the age
is right join them in on different activities to mix with other friends and to also take them places that they will enjoy e.g. swimming
& play park. It important that the child has family and friends around them and to feel that they belong and secure.
