Physical needs: Physical needs for an infant to reach self actualisation they need to be provided with food, water, shelter and warm clothing. The only way that infants be accessed with water, food, shelter and warm clothing by the parents bringing in a suitable intake from their job. For the infants to get a proper and healthy diet their parents need to provide them with healthy food.
Safety and security: For an infant to be in a safe surrounding and have a safe home with shelter and warm clothing , if the infants house is not safe and comfortable for them then the child could get sick with the conditions of the house which will be passed through the house quickly if the house is over crowded. Safety and Security for a child to reach self actualisation they need to be provided with feeling safe, secure, protected from harm and danger and finally secure.
Social needs: For an infant to have their social needs met their parents have to make sure that their infant would get the opportunities to start themselves up and teach themselves how to crawl and then walk, for the parents to provide this to the children they must show them what way to go about it e.g. show them where they can have there wee space to go and crawl and then learn to walk. Also taking your infant out to the park even know they are young and probably don’t know they still have an understanding that they aren’t in the same social setting as they would be at their own home.
Self esteem: for an infant to have their self esteem met him/she needs love affection, friendship, being valued and feeling like they belong. Showing an infant that Self-esteem in an infants life is very vital to them because if they are always put down and made feel like they aren’t good at anything then their self esteem is going to be low and always feel like they aren’t good at anything no matter what age they are.
Self actualisation: At the very top of Maslows pyramid is self actualisation feeling like you can fulfil anything in life if you want it so bad even know an infant has nothing big to fulfil but the small things like teaching themselves how to crawl & walk. Being able to talk and concentrate when other people are talking. Reaching the top of Maslows pyramid is an achieving thing for people’s everyday needs being on top and feeling like you can achieve.
